Ice pick headaches sucks! what can i do to minimize or ease the pain?!

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Indomethacin: It is important to have a firm diagnosis, and MRI of the brain may be warranted to exclude any structural disease. But if it is icepick headache, most patients respond very well to indomethacin 75-250 mg/day in divided doses. There is generally a response within days. There are alternatives such as gabapentin if this does not stop the headaches or you cannot take indomethacin.
