What is the best treatment for ice pick headache?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Primary Stabbing HA: Primary Stabbing Headache (or ice pick headache) usually just lasts a second and is so brief that patients don't want medicine. They just want to know that it isn't a tumor, etc. If you're having them often, you might want medicine, the most established is indomethacin, but it has side effects. If your headaches are longer than a second, it might be cluster headache or something else.
