No odor: Silver nitrate does not produce an odor. When used with a granuloma that is not healing well the silver acts as an antiseptic and allows for faster healing of a granulomatous wound. It was originally used in Argerol as a mouth wash and has been employed at other sites to heal a raw wound. Any odor wound come from an underlying seroma in a wound and should be checked by Gyn surgeon.
