Under the influence: Three margaritas 6 hours ago means you still have a blood alcohol level present and are "under the influence" of alcohol. Taking additional pain medication only complicates(potentiates) the anti-depressant effects of the alcohol. Taking coffee, or an aspirin for the "hangover" would have been more appropriate.
