Spotting and cramps: This sounds like mid cycle breakthrough bleeding. If your last period was abnormal, you may want to do a home urine pregnancy test. If negative, this could also be an ovarian cyst. I do not know if you are using any type of birth control. If symptoms persist, see your gyn doctor.
