Yes: If it is a herpes simplex virus cold sore it can be spread to the genitalia during oro-genital contact. 10% of genital herpes infections are caused by the oral herpes simplex 1 virus. Are you sure the nasal lesion is a cold sore and not a staph.Aureus infection?
