Tendon rupture: The ACL tendon graft harvesting is a blind procedure that ends up narrowing the remaining tendon. The narrowed tendon may tear causing a sharp pain. The post-traumatic bleeding could explain the ache since blood, outside of its vessels is an irritant. Look for tell-tale bruising in the sore area. Let you surgeon know.
