A member asked:

I left a pad on too long and now ive got irritation on the insides of my labia majora would neosporin be safe to apply before bed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

NO, NO, NO: Neosporin [bacitracin, triple antibiotic] are useless. They are common sensitizers and the fastest way to become allergic is to use one of these on a wound. Neosporin was "honored" a few years ago as allergen of the year. They do not prevent or treat any infection. If you want to sooth this you can try vaseline or Aquaphor.
