AS is a serious-: -disease and affects hips,SI joint as well as the spine. It also can have respiratory ramifications. @ 30 you are young for a replacement. Best advice is to seek out an MD who specializes in AS. Perhaps a rheumatologist. There' are medications to treat this along with activity modification.
