A member asked:

Will probiotics decrease the efficacy of antibiotics, such as doxycyline, by renewing the gut flora, therefore 'using up' the antibiotic in the gut?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No, not at all: Not in the slightest. The concentration of the antibiotic in the blood (or wherever it is meant to be effective) will not be changed by taking a probiotic.
