Tingling in the hand: A tingling sensation in your hand is more likely to be caused by cervical spinal stenosis. This is because the nerves that control your upper extremities originate from the brachial plexus, an important network of nerves that originate from the ventral rami of cervical level 5 through thoracic level 1. Imaging of your CNS/ spine may be performed, in addition to a careful history and full exam.
