Need evaluation: Blood in the urine is not normal and it could be a sign of underlying urinary tract problem. These include stones, infection, or cancer. You need to be evaluated by your medical doctor to determine the source of the blood.

Several causes: Kidney stones, uti, any bladder disease, bleeding disorders are few of the causes of hematuria (blood in urine). If certain that it is not 'period' bleeding please contact your doctor.

Hematuria: Blood in urine near you period is normal. Blood that comes from your bladder or kidneys in the urine is never normal and you would need to get evaluated for possible causes. Best wishes.
