Increased weight: It depends on where and what you are eating while traveling. Many times when we travel we end up eating in places and eating foods we aren't accustomed to. Some of those foods contain a lot of salt, especially if eating at restaurants or fast food places. This causes a lot of fluid retention, thus a gain in weight. I recommend low salt, drink water during the day, and exercise.
