I had a painless clear blister on my hip. i tried to pop it, the only thing that happened is it turned purple and looked as if it filled w/ blood.

You have a: blood blister, which will require some delicate mini surgery to remove. On the hip, it should not be too bad, though you will need to take care not to scrape it much lest it bleeds. Thanks for trusting in HealthTap.
