Tell them: Surely your PCP will "acknowledge" your sexual orientation if you tell about it. If you cannot or don't want to, an excellent source probably is your nearest NHS GUM clinic. (I think I saw you're in UK, right?) They likely know nearby doctors who are sensitive to alternate sexual lifestyles and knowledgeable about their special health care needs. Or if in London, try Freedom Health Clinic.
