Coconut oil enema: Continue low residue, non-irritant diet. Introduce coconut oil as salve rectally or as a series of small, warm water/coconut oil enemas, about one cup water with 1-2 tablespoons of oil, after major elimination. This will help cleanse and soothe area. Once the irritation subsides, continue use of coconut oil as part of cleansing routine.
