<1%: The Mirena (levonorgestrel) has Progesterone in it which for many women makes them stop having a cycle temporarily. Once you have the Mirena (levonorgestrel) out, your periods should resume. About 2 in 100 women get pregnant with the Mirena (levonorgestrel) in place but it can happen. If you feel like you are pregnant in other ways (fatigue, nausea, breast tenderness), see your doctor right away.

Slim: If the Mirena (levonorgestrel) is in place (they show you how to check at insertion & follow-up visit) and if your pregnancy test is negative...You're good! enjoy not having periods from the progestin effect on the uterus. If you want a good scare, watch the original "the omen" with gregory peck & lee remik (1976). Cool movie & next time call your doctor's office if you have concerns.
