A member asked:

I am 18, and my triglyceride level is 157. is that bad? what does that mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: It is not necessarily bad, triglycerides are a type of cholesterol, and can be dangerous with very high levels (over 200 but more over 500) and it's also dependent on whether your labs were drawn while fasting or not and what your sugar levels are. A good, balanced diet and exercise routine should be implemented nevertheless.
