Yes!: A pregnant woman is at risk when she is hit in the abdomen, especially if the placenta is on the anterior wall and the pregnancy is farther along. It is possible, if the woman is hit hard enough for a part of the placenta to tear away and cause an "abruption". It is true that the pregnancy is protected by the uterus, but not from repetitive hard blows. No pregnant woman should be hit in the abdome.
