See answer: The "strength" of the carotid artery pulse is subjective and only has significance in certain clinical settings such as syncope and cardiac arrest. In these settings a weak pulse may indicate significantly low blood pressure. A strong pulse would be a good sign and absence of a pulse would indicate cardiac arrest.
