See answer: The "strength" of the carotid artery pulse is subjective and only has significance in certain clinical settings such as syncope and cardiac arrest. In these settings a weak pulse may indicate significantly low blood pressure. A strong pulse would be a good sign and absence of a pulse would indicate cardiac arrest.

Is it normal for the pulse on right side of neck to feel stronger than the left? More apparent in the evening. Rhythm is regular, not too fast.
