Dryness: Lifting the eyelid causes increased exposure of the ocular surface and the tear film evaporates. This causes the cornea and ocular surface to be come irritated and painful due to dry eyes. If your pain worsens, consult your surgeon.

Dry eyes: After ptosis surgery your eye will be a little more open than usual. This could lead the cornea to get dry and trigger pain. Please see your eye surgeon very soon to make sure what the problem is. Hope this helps.
