No.: Doxy/metro have no effect on utis; you should probably take some Nitrofurantoin or a cephalosporin, or Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) for that. Talk to your doctor!

Doxy can: Doxycycline is active against many of the bacteria that can cause utis.
