Not normal: If you've had phlebitis in a sensitive area like the wrist, there are nerves there that might 'fire off' if irritated. One month seems like a long time-so I am concerned. You should show this to a doc because there could be some sort of compression in that tight space (like a bruise/small fluid collection). It's probably pressing on a nerve in the carpal tunnel. IV Thrombophlebitis: Thrombophlebitis can extend proximally into the forearm and arm. If it is becoming more symptomatic, you need to get a Duplex vein scan of the upper extremity to rule out deep vein thrombosis.
