I had an right fdl transfer to repair a logitudinal tear in my posterior tib tendon almost six months ago. had absorbable anchor placed and have pain at anchor site but no other pain. is anchor absorbed this far out? is it expected to have this pain?

Anchor: Without knowing what type of anchor was utilized during the surgery it's hard to tell. If it was truly asorbable then it should have done so by now. I would visit with you doctor who did the procedure.

Varies: Suture resorption is variable, but main issue is that whether suture has resorted or not; the suture and anchor itself should not cause pain if well placed. So the bigger question is why you are still hurting 6 months after surgery; which you should address with your surgeon. Waiting more time with the thought your pain will improve because the suture has not resorted will likely be unfruitful.
