I ate some canned sardines yesterday and today all of a sudden i experienced crams and watery stool for several hours. i also threw up chunks of sard.

Food poisoning : Very likely the sardines were contaminated. They can carry a toxin as well. As long as now you are back to normal then I wouldn't worry. If the symptoms continue today then I would go to an urgent care or another medical facility for labs and maybe fluids.
