Kneecap grinding: There is an irregularity in the joint, most often the kneecap. Put your hand on your knee as it tsk. If the noise is in the kneecap it is probably a cartilage defect of chonromalacia. Take Aleve (naproxen) for pain. Short arc quadriceps exercises daily 30" slow progression. Stay thin/active. Other clickings can be meniscus teat, a plica (folded lining) or a joint mouse. These need an MRI and a surgeon.
