Injury: If you landed on your wrist it is likely that you have a sprain and if there is bruised skin, you also had a contusion. However if swelling appeared almost immediately, a fracture would be suspected and an xray should be done. Otherwise apply ice and observe for swelling and increasing pain which means that you should go to the emergency room for evaluation and treatment.
