While it's uncommon: to have isolated "time blindness," it certainly can happen, as it did with you. A primitive part of the brain, the thalamus, acts as a relay station for our thoughts, emotions & memory. Damage to a specific part of the thalamus can result in an inability to sense the passage of time. The technical term is "chronotaraxis.." A neurologist may be able to help you find ways to adapt. Best wishes!
