Not related: In my opinion the brain clot is not directly related to your whiplash injuries. And neurological problems are due to the brain clot. You should follow the advice of your medical doctors and neurologist. There may be underlying cause for your brain clot and you need to continue with meds and therapy prescribed.Good luck.

Possible artery inju: Neck trauma like whiplash or seat belt injury can cause injuries to the walls of arteries that supply the brain. When this happens clots can form in the injured artery walls and then go to the brain arteries and cause a stroke.

Traumatic dissection: Not uncommon, in certain violent accidents, to have damage to large blood vessels in neck, such as arterial dissection. This may happen in the back of neck to the vertebral arteries, which pass upwards inside a canal in the vertebral body called foramen transversarum. When neck violently moves, the blood vessel can be compressed or torqued, blocking blood flow and thus a stroke.
