A member asked:

I remember being injected with haldol (haloperidol) decanoate and being unable to eat my food because i had so much eps. is this typical? is my brain damaged?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Haldol (haloperidol) is known for: hellacious side effects including muscle rigidity to the point of posture distortion and/or muscular immobilization. Injectable Haldol (haloperidol) is still used in severe cases, or in medication resistant cases where meds really ARE indicated because the consequences of not using it are worse. Prolixin also enjoys a similar bad reputation. The good news is, your brain is not likely damaged.
