Cough and dizzy= sit: In general when you experience lightheaded or dizzy Ness after coughing or vomiting it is best to sit down. Most likely you are experiencing what is called a vasovagal episode. Basically you were stimulating the vagal nerve which slows your heart rate down. Most the time that should pass pretty quickly.
