I have soreness and swelling in the lower part of my mouth just under my tongue. i have been taking antibiotics and also have a cold.

Before: Before "treating. A problem it is important to diagnose the cause of the problem. Antibiotics should not be taken indiscriminantly. Please see your Dentist for diagnosis and/or referral to Endodontist, Oral Surgeon, or ENT. Now that you have started antibiotics do not stop unless instructed to do so.

See your DDS: for evaluation, diagnosis and proper treatment. Any suspicious swelling that does not resolve itself in 2-3 weeks should be evaluated.
