I've recently been having cold symptoms. my cough usually isnt bad. but i've been coughing hard, so hard i gag. my mucus is also white and grainy.

Cough: Try Delsym over the counter. Drink a lot of fluids and get some rest. You need antibiotics when the secretions turn colored. For pain take Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin. Good luck and feel better!
