Mgt: If the cough persists for three or more weeks, a follow up visit is advised. Typically upper respiratory tract infections may take two weeks to resolve. Sometimes there can be prolonged inflammation or bronchospasm. Additionally, you may be developing a sinus infection, monitor your temperature and rinse with nasal saline to control symptoms.
