Excellent question!: Unfortunately, recommended screening must balance cost with benefit. Limited healthcare dollars are rationed to save the MOST lives. Sudden cardiac death is relatively rare, but breast cancer is not, so mammograms are recommended. Athletes with family history of heart issues WILL get screening, but general population must ask and pay for it themselves.
