See your doctor: Severe vertigo, associated with vomiting, is a reason to see your doctor. This is sometimes caused by a virus which produces inflammation in the inner ear (an organ which helps us keep balance). There may be a risk of injury from falling, and it is possible to become dehydrated. Your doctor can help pinpoint the cause, and may be able to prescribe something to ease symptoms until it passes.
