L3-4or 4-5: Usually L3-4 supplies the quad muscle. That pain distribution is ofter sacroiliac referred pain. Put your heel on the opposite kneecap and let your leg drop to a figure 4. If the pain is in you groin its a hip problem or in your back its a SI joint problem. If it is neither, it may be neuritic from L3-4 or a muscle or bone pain. Next test would be imaging.
