Young people have: small amounts of protein that can look like white strands in the urine, often making it look cloudy. Asymptomatic microproteinuria is usually harmless and transient in young growing adults, but older adults should not have proteinuria. If you have no symptoms, I would not be too preoccupied with your urine, unless you see blood or pink tinge, or if you have itching/ pain on urination etc.
