A member asked:

Are hoarseness and a sore throat off and on and a bad taste in my mouth withdraw symptoms from quitting smoking?

Try in office bleach: See your MD for a definitive diagnosis. See your dentist to try to brighten your smile after smoking, perhaps it would be a great idea to bleach your teeth to try to rid your teeth of all internal staining due to smoking.

Congrats on quitting: Withdrawal symptoms are actually signs that your body is healing. Most of these symptoms peak approximately 3-5 days after quitting, and then begin to taper off. Be patient and good luck!
