Cerumen impaction: I would not attribute the symptoms you mention to suctioning the ear canal of cerumen. It is commonly done with no adverse effects other than discomfort, possible abrasion to the ear canal, and in rare cases an outer ear infection from an aggressive ear cleaning or difficult ear to clean.
