What does benign neoplasm of colon mean?

Just what it says!: Neoplasm means new growth, benign means it is not Cancerous. But you need to tell us more about how the doctor found this growth and where it is located and if a biopsy has been taken from the growth? Then you can be better served by your doctors.

Usually not cancer: It means you have an abnormal growth of cells in your large intestines, but this abnormal growth is not cancer and will not spread to other part of your body.

It means that: It is not malignant, or cancerous. Benign neoplasms could still cause problems, such as bleeding, obstruction, or perforation, so consult with GI specialist for specific advice.
