I have premature heartbeats. is it dangerous to go to sleep while this is happening?

No: If what you have are premature atrial contractions then this is not dangerous. If you have another type of irregular heart beat then you need to talk to a cardiologist about treatment. In any case sleep is extremely important for the heart and other organs.

No: AN OCCASIONAL "EXTRA HEART BEAT" OR "SKIPPED BEAT" IS NORMAL. Fatigue or emotional stress can cause an increase in them. IF THEY SEEM TO BE HAPPENING VERY FREQUENTLY, INCREASE WITH EXERCISE OR ARE ASSOCIATED WITH SYMPTOMS OF LIGHTHEADEDNESS CONSULT WITH YOUR PHYSICIAN.
