Abstinence is free!: but if that is not the option, you could consider going to a clinic such as Planned Parenthood, and depending on your income, may be able to get free BCP or condoms. If you buy in bulk via internet, condoms can be priced as low as $0.25 a piece and although not the best contraceptive, should be worn anyway for STD protection. An IUD or hormone implant is a big hit upfront, but lasts for years.
