Untimely shot: If the new shot was given 14 weeks past the absence of the previous shot then ovulation could have occurred during the interval between shots. The previous shot's medication had long since expired and was of no effectiveness whatsoever. A pregnancy test should be done to rule out an interval conception if you had intercourse during that 14 week interval.
