Pregnancy test?: If a person has reason to believe she is pregnant, and then has a positive urine pregnancy test result using a old, expired test strip, she can presume she is pregnant but still should do a confirmatory test with a new test strip either at home or at her doctor's office.

It is probably: accurate, but you can't be 100% sure. The most likely thing to happen with an expired rapid response pregnancy test is that the sensitivity of the chemical detecting hCG (pregnancy hormone) has diminished and the test will be falsely negative. If it is positive, it probably means the chemical is still sensitive. But apparently false +'s can happen. Best check with current valid test. Good wishes!
