A member asked:

Im not lactose intolerance and i drink milk alot and i sometimes get diarrhea but is it the milk that is causing it?

Possibly: Best thing to do is to see if you get diarrhea when you avoid milk/dairy for a week or two. Keeping a food diary for when you get diarrhea may help you narrow down the potential food triggers. Hope this helps!

Probably not: If you are not lactose-intolerant or milk-allergic, the diarrhea is unlikely to be from pasteurized or cooked dairy. Most people do suffer from diarrhea from time to time -many of these episodes can be attributed to a viral infection or food contamination. Obviously if you drink only raw milk, you would likely be drinking some contaminated batches.
