Cardiac Prevention: An internal medicine or cardiology MD would want more details about the family history. Several options for the asymptomatic young adult with a family history of heart disease: a stress test is not a very good screening tool for early coronary disease; CT scans are quite sensitive but require X-ray exposure and should be used selectively. Check the cholesterol & treat if needed!
