Astma triggers: Know that asthma is a chronic inflammatory condition that can be triggered by a variety of stimuli. Certainly mold/fungi from moisture in a basement is a well known trigger of the inflammatory bronchospasm known as asthma. There are many triggers as well as genetic loci that predispose a patient to bronchospasm. Answer is yes and do recommend testing for the function of your lungs.
