Does sleeping with dental flipper on shift teeth?

Don't: Remove your prosthesis before bed, gently brush ( no toothpaste), then place into denture cleaner over night.

Don't Sleep with it: Depending on the flipper design, missing teeth you have, and length of time you wear the flipper daily it can cause teeth to move. Ideally to reduce tooth movement, it is wise to have a fixed or more permanent solution in the area of the missing teeth. In general teeth shift and move with time. Usually there will be tooth movement adjacent to the flipper and also from the opposing arch.

Please, take it out: No, it prevents any shifting of teeth around a gap. However, removable partials (flipper) require proper care to keep them clean. It is best to soak the flipper in water with denture cleansing tablet overnight.
