As Needed for Pain: Take the antibiotic until it is all gone. Only take the ibuprofen if you're having pain.

DEPENDS: You must take the entire dosage of antibiotics (7 Days worth). When I place implants I like the patient to be on Ibuprofen immediately after the procedure and 1 day after that. You may not have pain but it keeps any swelling in check.

Follow instructions: Antibiotics MUST be taken exactly as directed until all of the pills are gone...do not discontinue prematurely. Analgesics should be taken on an as-needed basis. As you start to feel better, start tapering off the analgesic. A soft high-protein diet and exemplary oral hygiene will help with the healing process. If you have questions, call the practitioner who placed the implants for guidance.
